Mohanlal-Priyadarsan for another Historical
After that new age classic in ‘Kalaapani’ which appeared almost 17 years ago, ace director Priyadarshan and Superstar Mohanlal are once again teaming up for another historical.
This time they will be opening up their camera once again to some yet to be told pages of Indian history with Lal coming up in a very striking character.
It is learned that the research for this movie is in full swing. But the project will be on sets only by the final months of 2014. Kalappani featuring Lal, Prabhu, Vineed, Amrish Puri and Tabu which appeared in 1996 was one of the biggest hits of the year earning three national awards and six state awards.
The movie was also a commercial hit in Malayalam and Tamil with its versions popular even in Hindi. Kalapaani also featured some fine music by Ilayaraja and a heart rending love story integrated into the tale told in the backdrop of Indian freedom struggle.
